Leg Exercises: Standing Reaches

Standing Reaches are great for strengthening your legs, your core and your arms.  Do a bunch of these and you will no longer have to worry about losing your balance!  If you loose your balance during this exercise, don’t get frustrated… recognize when you loose it and concentrate more on being centered.  You’ll get it, we promise!

  1. Start with your arms out to your sides and your right knee up so that your thigh is parallel with the ground.
  2. Bend at the waist and reach down ACROSS your body with your right arm.
  3. Touch the ground to the left of your left foot and straighten your right leg behind you.
  4. Come up slowly.
  5. Repeat.
  6. Switch legs.
  7. Inhale down, exhale up.
