My name is Kevin Gianni and I am the co-founder of this new

informational class that meets twice a week at night. We will
work with you and other members of the group for 8 energizing
and informative sessions (each 1-1 ½ long) and give you everything
you need-from workouts to time saving exercises to health
tips-that you will be able to use to create lasting fitness
and health ON YOUR OWN TIME!
You will never have to step foot in a gym again or buy into

Let me tell you how this
course began.
I remember seeing a trainer that worked at the gym I used
to go to strut around the place like he owned it-paying more
attention to his pecs in the mirrors than his clients with
bad form! I realized that this is what happens in gyms all
around America and throughout the world EVERYDAY!
It was then that I decided that one day I would do something
about it. But first, I needed to take care of myself. Let
me tell you a short story about where I was then and how I
came to where I am now.
In high school I was a three-sport athlete. I had the letters-I
was a captain of the football and tennis teams my senior year
and I could have gone on to college to play at least one of
those sports. When it was time to go off to school, I made
a decision to pursuer my higher education. The decision to
attend to my studies, because heaven only knows how much time
it would take me to study.
Well as you can imagine, as most go-off-to-school-and-party-your-butt-off
stories go, I did little studying. Nor did I do ANY exercise.
I didn't lift a finger until my junior year, when I started
lifting weights again about 2-3 times a week. I never saw
any results though because I was destroying my body as quickly
as I could build it up with alcohol and frozen pizzas. Do
you think I ever looked the package labels then? Of course
not, I was more concerned about the price of a 30-pack and
when the pizza was going to be delivered!
All the partying began to take a toll on me physically and
mentally. My skin was pale. My energy level was low. In my
second semester of junior year, I scheduled all my classes
to be no earlier than 2:00PM and I still woke up at 1:30PM
to make it just about 5-10 minutes late every time! I was
destroying my body and I needed to do something about it.
Unfortunately it took another 2-3 years before I actually
managed to gain enough leverage on myself to create a radical
change.
About 3 years after I graduated college and deep into a mental
and physical depression, my friends started to loose faith
in me and I found myself alone and confused. At the same time,
a diagnosis of mononucleosis brought me literally to my knees
in agonizing pain. I was so sick, I couldn't sleep for days.
I begged the doctor to prescribe me painkillers just so the
pain in my throat would at least be tolerable. This illness
was a direct result of my neglect from the last 6-7 years.
And it was just enough to get me thinking about how on earth
I had gotten to this point in my life.
It was then, as I was lying in bed-unable to sleep-that I
made a commitment to myself. Not a commitment that I didn't
know if I was going to keep or not-like a New Year's Resolution-but
a commitment that I was so committed to that I would do ANYTHING
to never feel like this again-to never feel like I did not
have enough time and energy to do the things I really wanted
to do! I told myself that I was going to take control of my
life and I would do whatever it takes to make it happen.
The years that have followed have been the best of my life.
Why? Because I followed through on that commitment to myself.
I am now in the best shape of my life.
I exercise every day. I run for 1.5-2.5 hours 4-5 times a
week with a long run on the weekends, which is over 3 hours.
I've run in numerous road races, placed in my age group and
also have run half and full marathons. I am currently training
for a 50-mile trail race! I have more strength and flexibility
than I've ever had. I've learned to fight back from injury,
eat healthy and fresh foods, juice, detoxify and most of all
love my body and take care of it like the temple it is.
In that same time, aside from the physical training, I've
read more books and listened to more tapes on fitness, personal
growth and well-being to fill a small library.
How did I learn to change people's lives? Plain and simple.
my own experience.
And this is what we offer our clients, experience, knowledge
and expertise. Our role is to show clients how they can take
control of your own life, just like I did with mine.

Annmarie Colameo is a certified athletic trainer with
3 years experience at Western Connecticut Physical Therapy
in Danbury, CT and 1 year at Marist College. She has worked
with high school athletes as well as Division 1 college athletes.
She has worked with coaches and trainers to develop prevention
courses as well as rehabilitation courses for injury. She
has been working with me for the last 6 months to develop
this course based on sound and proven techniques.
To add to everything thing above, she is presently studying
message therapy at the Connecticut Center for Massage in Westport!
I, Kevin Gianni, am a certified personal trainer
who created this course through research and my own personal
experience. I have developed this course with the help of
Annmarie that focuses on the special needs of each client
by identifying their true motivations and teaching them how
to keep themselves accountable. I have done research under
Dr. Jeanette Tedesco to help develop a holistic health course
at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT. I
am currently completing my Master's Degree in English, which
allows me to communicate my message clearly through words
and print.
Aside from this, I am avid runner completing in half-marathons,
a marathon and many other shorter races in which I have placed
in my age group. I am currently training for a 50-mile race
to test my physical and mental limits!
